Design
and engineering office
The Engineering and Design Department provides technical backup
to the Research Department from the design through to the commissioning
of installations.
As a center of expertise, its work also ranges from the design to
the industrial application of the facilities used in the plants,
notably in the manufacture and testing of glass.
Its expertise covers a wide range of technological fields (mechanical
engineering, hydraulic engineering, automation and regulation, etc.)
including the assistance of companies well-known for their own expertise
and speed of reaction. A veritable project developer, it provides
logistical backup for installation startup on time and at a target
cost.
Lastly, this department role is to create a memory bank of technical
documentation (technical specifications, calculation notes, drawings
and part lists) of subjects in which the company has collaborated.
The Engineering and Design Department uses CAD workstations, a mechanical
fabrication shop, an electro-technical unit equipped with automation
and regulation tools.
