Bernard
Dubois (Polytechnique 1979) joined Saint-Gobain Recherche
in 1986, after writing a thesis (under a CIFRE-French Ministry
of Research Training in Industry Convention with Saint-Gobain
Recherche) in the CNRS Solid Chemistry Laboratory at the Université
de Bordeaux I. He rapidly rose to head the Fusion Process
Group.
In
1991, he was transferred to the Flat Glass Branch where he
was appointed Production Manager for Insulating Automobile
Glass at the VEGLA plant in Germany. He returned to France
in 1994 as Assistant to the Industrial Manager of Saint-Gobain
Sekurit France where, in particular, he was responsible for
improving the production performance of the 3 SGSF plants.
Then from 1995 to 1999, he was Director of SVE, Société
Verrière d'Encapsulation, an SGSF production unit with
200 employees for encapsulation and extrusion of plastic components
for automobile windows.
Since 2000, he has filled the position of Director of Logistics
and purchase for Saint-Gobain Sekurit France with the following
main responsibilities: "Integrated Supply Chain"
for the three SGSF sites (EDI automaker order planning, inventories
in 15 advanced warehouses, central planning, flows, packaging,
and transport) between suppliers, other Sekurit companies
and European customer automakers' sites, as well as procurements
worth an annual 130 million euros (materials, investments,
outsourced services, etc).
