Olivier Maris joined Saint-Gobain Recherche
in 1980 as an Engineer with the "Thin Coating"
Department; he was appointed Manager of this department in
1985, and Manager of the "Vacuum Coating" International
Project in 1987.
Olivier left Saint-Gobain Recherche in 1989 to join the Flat
Glass Branch as Technical and Logistics Director; he was then
appointed General Manager of Glasfabriek Sas van Gent (the
Netherlands). He oversaw the construction of the present plant,
which is responsible for global sales of Cool-lite solar-control
glass, and launched production at this plant of Saint-Gobain's
first dual-layer glass, Cool-lite SKN.
He was then appointed Director of Saint-Gobain Vitrage France's
southeast subsidiaries, before joining the Insulation Branch
in 1997 as Director of the Industrial Research Center (CRIR)
in Rantigny, France, and in 2000 he was appointed Director
of Saint-Gobain Isover's plant in Orange, France.
He is currently, General Director of Saint-Gobain ZIRPRO
