Documentation
The Documentation Service specializes in sciences and technologies
associated with glass and materials.
Its principal fields of work are:
- Bibliographic research through access to major database servers
- Dissemination of the information via the intranet
- Development and management of internal databases: bibliographic
notices on new subjects, technical reports by Saint-Gobain Recherche
scientists, etc.
- Preparation and distribution of a bibliographic news digest concerning
glass
- Technological monitoring
- Library management
- Management of subscriptions to scientific and technical publications.
The users of the service are Saint-Gobain Recherche researchers
and engineers from the R&D centers and production units throughout
the world. The Documentation Service actively participates in the
IPGA and
the CRIN
club on tools and methods constituting the company memory bank.
