R&D Engineer "Heat and Mass Transfer in Building Applications" - Thermomechanics & Modelling Department
Job description
This R&D position is open to a junior researcher (or with a few years of experience) who will work on the design of materials and systems to increase energy efficiency in building sector. Job requires both numerical modelling and experimental applications.
These R&D activities are part of larger R&D projects mainly within the Construction Products Sector and the Innovative Materials Sector of Saint-Gobain and are closely connected to the development of industrial products and processes. Direct contact with plants and businesses.
The researcher is responsible for the in-time delivery of the expected results and for the management of the allocated resources. May supervise technicians and/or trainees.
Deal and management of research sub-contracts with academic partners in France and abroad.
Candidate profile
Graduate of a top level University or Technical School or with an Engineer Degree from French Grandes Ecoles. PhD in the domain of Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Sciences, Physics… or related fields is appreciated. Specific Skills in Numerical Modelling and Experimental Metrology are required.
Individual should be creative and innovative, with problem-solving mentality and hands-on approach to research. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and French and ability to interact with diverse groups are required.
