Contact mechanics and adhesion

• Experimental investigation of the surface mechanics of amorphous silicates and functionalised glass surfaces (surface forces, elastoplastic response, tribology).
• Modelling of adhesive contact of elastic, viscoelastic, and coated materials.

• Surface modification by adsorption, grafting, thin film deposition and surface texturation for designed adhesion, wetting and optical properties.
