Thin films and nanostructures

For glass manufacturing as well as many other materials, surface functionalisation is presently achieved with thin film and multilayer deposition. However a promising new technology is to errect 3D structures at the surface. However, in practice, the mechanical reliability of theses structures during manufacturing or service is a key issue. Our research aims at progress in these areas.
